Theatre Review in Transit of “What The Constitution Means To Me” SCENE: The interior of Michael’s car, 9:45 PM. The glow of streetlights passes over the dashboard. Michael and Tony have just left North Coast Repertory Theatre’s production of What the Constitution Means to Me and are heading back home.  Michael is driving.  Tony is trying not to comment on Michael’s driving.  MICHAEL: So… that was something. TONY:  Right? I mean, can we just take a moment to appreciate how many words Jacque had to remember? It was like a masterclass in memorization. And her delivery! Nothing felt forced. Totally

Hot Takes: A Living Room Review of “Some Like It Hot” SETTING: Michael and Tony’s living room. A couch, soft lighting, Playbills and Broadway books on the coffee table. Michael is seated already and flipping through the program from the evening’s performance. Tony enters, flopping onto the couch. TONY:  Alright, I’m saying it—I really liked that show. MICHAEL:  (smugly)  Uh-huh. And how many times did I tell you? TONY:  Yeah, yeah. But seriously—I had no idea what to expect, and it was just… joyful. That Daphne storyline? It hit me in the gut and the heart at the same time.

Setting: The living room. Tony sits on one couch engrossed in the last pages of the final book in Adrian Tchaikovsky’s “Final Architecture” series (which he highly recommends!). Michael enters from the kitchen, holding a bowl of fried rice, and sits on the 2nd couch opposite him. Michael: Should we talk about The Merry Wives of Windsor? Tony: (begrudgingly closing the book) Ok.  I guess this is the “Merry Husbands of San Diego” talking about the “Merry Wives of Windsor” (Tony cracks himself up. Michael responds by not responding) What did you think about it? Michael: I liked it. Tony:
